I wouldn’t say either party are the “good guys”, but the Republicans are the worse of the two, and it isn’t even close.
If anything, the closest we have to “good guys” in US politics would be the Bernie Sanders - AOC wing of the Democrats.
Even the most “progressive” Republicans are still backwards thinking bootlickers - “small government” and “states’ rights” to enforce their narrow world view.
They’re our Reform UK, our Rassemblent National, our Fratelli d’Italia, our Fidesz – arguably our AfD at this point.
