+1. Not tight and stuffy while providing enough containment.

scytale@lemmy.zipto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Peak American design: a vehicle that is 6 meters long, weighs over 4 tonnes, and can only carry six or seven people (but will usually carry one person most of the time.)English4·14 hours agoI’ve seen a similar suv (not sure which model) at my local grocery store parking lot, and it was so long that they couldn’t park in the regular parking space and had to have someone in the car wait at the front driveway of the store with their hazards on.
scytale@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who is an actor you can't stand, but everyone likes?6·14 hours agoPeople liked Batfleck because he was the closest to comic Batman looks-wise. Tall, physically imposing, square jaw, rugged, etc. He was also the best part of the Snyder movies and that’s a low bar. His version was also an older, disillusioned Bruce/Batman which is why he was more prick-ish.
Is that their shower routine?

scytale@lemmy.zipto World News@lemmy.world•Police: Air India survivor leapt from crashing planeEnglish15·2 days agoRight, I understand he was in the best position. But if you see the videos, it crashed within 32 seconds of liftoff, and there wasn’t really indication other than it stalled at the same very low altitude until it quickly went down, unless it was obvious inside (i.e. oxygen masks deployed, etc.).
If he managed to open the emergency door and jump out within that time span, that is some very very quick timing and reflexes.
scytale@lemmy.zipto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•They are officially known as string trimmers. Where are you geographically and what do you call them?4·2 days agoOn a related note, are the reloadable plastic strings on electric trimmers intentionally designed to unravel within a few uses so you have to keep buying replacements?
scytale@lemmy.zipto World News@lemmy.world•Police: Air India survivor leapt from crashing planeEnglish21·2 days agoWait, how? Based on what I’ve seen (might no longer be the case as with ongoing investigations), the plane crashed literally within seconds of getting airborne. How was he able to 1. Know the plane was gonna crash, and 2. Be quick enough to unbuckle, open the emergency door, and jump within seconds?

scytale@lemmy.zipto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Is there info on how rich people protect their privacy? (I assume they do care about their privacy, right?)English25·3 days agoThey are better with their physical privacy (i.e. gated mansions and tall fences), but the ones who aren’t tech-literate (i.e. non tech bros) are likely the same as everyone else, and are probably even worse off than privacy-conscious regular people. I remember Zuck uses Signal, so we know at least the tech bros who are technically literate (and not the ones who only pretend to know what they’re talking about) are aware of their personal privacy.

Scroll down to the bottom of both instances’ home pages using the default lemmy UI. You’ll see the version of lemmy they use. You’ll also see a link labeled as Legal, which contains most of the instance’s policies. The Instances link will show you what instances they are federated and defederated with. The modlog can also give you some insight on what’s happening on the instance. Combine that with all the other information on their sidebars and you’ll get a rough idea of how different they are managed.
It also helps if you’ve been on lemmy for a while because you would’ve directly experienced or witnessed any issues or controversies those instances have been involved with.
What’s on the upper left which I assume is what you put in the dip?
