Gotcha. I saw all 3 series and enjoyed each for various reasons. I’m just always intrigued when I find something within your work that harks back to a specific item in my memory, wondering if you drew inspiration from the same space. I know our general age and interests have notable overlap.
I don’t recommend SG: Universe unless you loved Battlestar Galactica (2004 series) and can just turn on your blinders to the hurried wrapup of season 2/the series when it didn’t pull BSG numbers.
I saw season 1-3 live but only finished the show around 2022. My wife and I fell off during season 3 two different times. Literally 10 years. I missed the original S4 airing due to school or something. But at least we know now that it’s not so bleak if you can emotionally get past New Caprica
Oh, I dimly remember! I loved Stargate SG-1 but never got into Stargate: Atlantis unfortunately.

Funnily enough this talk about Stargate made think about rewatching Battlestar Galactica.

I got introduced to it shortly after S4 concluded, around 2010. Nostalgia for 90s/00s Scifi is hitting pretty hard right now :'-)
