I’ll never see the appeal of a virtual TCG, like you can’t sell it if you want, so what’s the point getting the rare cards. It’s no different then downloading a fake copy and putting it in a deck.
Back in the Pokemon TCG for Gameboy days, it was all about the joy of
catchingcollecting 'em all, and building your custom decks to battle with. Things didn’t have to be monetizable to be fun back then.yea, collecting was fun, but after the collecting stage, it was nice to have something to “sell” (OK let’s be real they sat around until someone else dealt with them at your protest)
Good dopamine I guess, and I’ve found the collection side of things to be fun. But I could never understand why someone would spend £18.49 (!!) to get a ‘rare’ card that doesn’t really exist. I’d never spend any money on this game.
You can print out cards in physical TCG and put them in your deck as well. You can’t sell virtual cards but they are also free for the most part.
I think regular TCG with its 8$ boosters is much worse. I had a lot more fun playing MTG arena without spending a dime then the hundreds I put into the physical cards while playing once in a blue moon with them.
It’s just NFTs with extra steps.
Nah it’s NFTs with far less steps. NFTs are needlessly complicated energy wasting JPEGS, these are just microtransactions
