NEW YORK (AP) — A federal judge dismissed New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ corruption case on Wednesday, acquiescing to the Justice Department’s extraordinary request to set aside criminal charges so the Democrat could help with President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

    So NYC’s judiciary says corruption is OK if you help to extra-judicially ship people off to concentration camps?

    This country is garbage. It’s done. The pillars have collapsed.

      Looks like it’s a federal judge not a NY state judge, though they also seem inclined to let this criminal go scott free.

        The judge said he wasn’t opining on the merits of the case, but that courts can’t force prosecutors to move forward. Still, he expressed qualms about the government’s move, saying “there are many reasons to be troubled” by its reasoning.

        Thanks for the clarification. I guess while skimming the article I mistook that distinction.

        Certainly doesn’t change that we are cooked, but I guess it helps to think that the States aren’t completely craven during this dark age.
