The unnecessary hyphen in “un-authorized” really grinds my gears.

It actually says UN-authorized. No dumping that was authorized by the UN. Probably a North Korean dumping site.
Wouldn’t “UN-authorized” make it only authorized for use by the UN?
That’s what the (original) shield means. “NO UN-AUTHORIZED DUMPING”
