Fwiw, we do this in Sweden and it sucks ass, because of how it incentivizes going to work when not-that-sick and when you’re uncertain if you are sick, leading to more unnecessary contagion, suffering, lost productivity etc. No one wins from this ghoulish policy - don’t copy it

It used to not be a thing, but a right-wing government back in the 90s (or 80s?) pushed to have 2 days without pay, and they landed on 1 day as a compromise.

Right-wing governments ruin everything for everyone, bunch of ghouls all of them

and when people do take that day off, they’re more inclined to be “sick” some extra days in order to make it worth one’s while, when someone has wasted that day without pay already.

Yeah there are days when you catch some cold that puts you off for a day, but you’re back on your feet one-two days later if you rest.

I’d take a week off to be sure in this case.

Head of health insurance company thinks he should be paid more by pushing policies that make his shareholders more money, but make life worse for everyone else, proving once more that health insurance companies are a fucking cancer on society that needs to be removed before it metastasizes and takes down the worker’s class. See this is why murderers go after these guys and it’s a popular thing.

And then there are political incumbents wondering why they are so unpopular… You need to be the counterweight to these assholes, not do their bidding.

And give Ukraine Taurus… In the case of Scholz
