Summary

Texas hospitals are treating children with vitamin A poisoning linked to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s promotion of the supplement as a measles treatment.

At Covenant Children’s hospital in Lubbock, patients with measles showed abnormal liver function due to excessive vitamin A intake.

Kennedy, the U.S. health secretary, claimed vitamin A dramatically reduces measles mortality. Experts warn his messaging confuses parents and downplays the proven protection of the MMR vaccine.

The U.S. faces its worst measles outbreak in decades, with nearly 500 cases across 21 states and two confirmed deaths.

Those folks should be taking him to court over that. Someone in his position has more of a responsibility to keep facts real than he appears to comprehend

How is it that the “vaccines are fake, do your research” crowd never made it to “vitamins are fake, do your own research?” If they actually did their own research, they could realize that the second one is true.

So, I suspect it’s because the right wing grift is heavily supported by the unregulated supplements market. The talking heads that “warned them about the libz” have been shilling sea moss and Brain Force™ for years, so there’s an implicit trust in that garbage.
