Nah, they are just following the fads. They will play shitter until that isn’t keeping them on the level with the other oligarchs, then they will switch up to the flavor of the day again.
Exactly this. Facebook was all about favoring Dems when they Dems were in power. Now that Repubs are, they switched sides quick. And twitter would have done the same thing if Musk wouldn’t have bought it.
Watching Democrats face their mistakes has been quite something! There’s been a lot to answer for, and you’ve gotten exactly what you deserve.
And Lemmy has been just as guilty of censorship. Watching the meltdown has been satisfying for those of us who saw it coming and faced bans or removed comments for speaking the truth.

Yeah, it is still bad, especially in .world c/politics. BUT I’m suddenly seeing more and more people talk about how shit Biden and Kamala were as choices. People couldn’t say that before the election without facing a deluge of downvotes and/or banning.
