      They need to quit worrying about sounding too smart, or whatever, and start doing things actually break down the oligarchy, stop the cartels controlling things like our food, and utilities, prices, and provide some form of universal healthcare, as a start. The tone of how they speak is just a diversion, actions are not accomplishing enough, this is the problem. This will upset their corporate handlers, so they will argue about how they sound, when they talk, instead of doing things that actually work for the people.

        Yep, I see it on Lemmy all the time. People who make more than the average citizen love to mock others for a lack of education or call them ignorant, completely oblivious to their own wealth or privilege. Ignoring the struggles of real working-class people.

        I’ve even been called “privileged,” even though I make minimum wage and I’m bi-racial. Then I was made fun of because of how little I made–I’d bet 99 percent of people on Lemmy make more than I do (I’m a teacher’s assistant for an elementary school). And why was I mocked? Simply because I dared to disagree with the hive mind.
