If you asked me which country would be funding beer R&D, I would’ve guessed Germany.
My father drowned in one of them giant beer brewery vats. He did come up for air a couple of times first though.
Fun fact: the campus on which one of these research factories is housed is officially „booze-free“. However, one of the biggest German breweries is located at the campus and sells their product there.
