Israel has said it will keep blocking humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, as it vowed to force Hamas into releasing the remaining hostages from the 7 October attacks.

Aid supplies including food, fuel, water and medicine have been blocked by Israel from entering Gaza since 2 March, more than two weeks before the collapse of the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian militant group with a return to air and ground attacks on the territory.

The medical charity Médecins Sans Frontières said on Wednesday that Gaza was becoming a “mass grave for Palestinians”.

The Israeli defence minister, Israel Katz, said: “Israel’s policy is clear: no humanitarian aid will enter Gaza, and blocking this aid is one of the main pressure levers preventing Hamas from using it as a tool with the population.”

Never again? What happened to that? Why is it ok now bibi? Everyone was rightly furious at the treatment of Jewish, Romanian, disabled folk, and queer folks, amongst others at the hands of the nazis. Why are repeating such a vile part of history that had affected so many not so long ago. It’s nothing short of deplorable.

I think supporters of Israels actions don’t see genocide itself as inherently wrong, but more that some of the people victimized by the Holocaust were wrongly targeted. This one is against the “right” people.

also note that the Holocaust did not only target Jews, but also homosexuals and other minorities. Yet when talking about WW2 victims, you mostly learn about Jews. Why is that?

It’s because (some) Jews have perfected the art of victimizing themselves more than others, in the expectation to get more favorable treatment from the world this way.

Time has shown that they only cared about one of those groups. I doubt the average American knows that queer and disabled people were sent to the camps, and I’m sure they only know Romani by their slur name

I can’t speak for the Americans but as a Canadian I educated myself, while the murder of the other groups was mentioned, the biggest focus was on Jewish people being killed.
