So, even though I used to have conservative views on society and the government, I supported liberal social rights such as minorities, LGBT, etc.
Never liked Trump or the venom spit by him and his followers. Always felt their views were too extreme and needlessly hated minorities.
Truly one of the great AMAs, kid.
What future do you see for your views now that the Republican party has become the Trump party? Where will they be represented: moderate democratic party, republican party after some reforms, or a third party made up of all the old Republicans?
Fund or defund the CBC? Expand police services or move services performed by police to social workers? Mike Harris or Bob Rae? Safe injection sites or stricter penalties?
What conservative views did you find agreeable? What’s changed?
Undocumented immigration, lower taxes, limited government intervention, capitalism stances. As someone who discovered she was LGBT at 15, I supported them though, womens’ rights, etc.
I do support the idea of government intervention, however now. While I don’t like the idea of immigrating “illegally”, I can understand it. I harbor no hatred for anyone who comes here in search of a better life.
I honestly wouldn’t peg you as conservative, even with your “conservative” views. You sound like a reasonable moderate.
