Worse is when you hear a crack and then immediately after you hear a hiss as all your air in your tire becomes air outside your tire.

As a rider who has a 300 watt ebay front drive wheel jammed into the slot on the front fork where the old quick release front wheel went, I do occasionally worry that at some point it’s gonna go pniaow, and the bike will plow fork-first at 30kph (16mph) into the ground, suitably ejecting its 72kg (¾ mean US adult) and 24v 20Ah Lithium Polymer battery in a conical arc.

How strong are those aluminium slots?

You should hear the crack when we run over a water bottle with the forklift. Sounds like a .22 going bang.
