Hey today I wanted to show something amazing from the Stanley Parable-inspired game I’m developing. Might be a long read so bare with me: at the end of my demo The Narrator is annoyed that the player presses The Button (in a game called Do Not Press The Button)! So he demands the player to send a 500 word essay on why they shouldn’t press it. I put this line in as a joke and didn’t expect to get anything, but funnily enough I’ve gotten so much essays which you can see here in the video and I decided as an Easter Egg to put a secret room in the FULL GAME where people can actually read all of essays that was sent and I’m sure there are a lot of Lemmy people that have sent one. In the video you can see small example of what people have written! It’s just awesome and makes me smile!
P.S. If you want to support my work and encourage development a simple wishlist of the game on Steam will make my day!
P.S. It was so funny to see someone playing the demo on their Stream and after they finished it, they opened a text file and started writing the essay, and you see new viewers coming in, expecting gameplay or something, and she is like “Oh, I’m doing my homework that this game gave me” :D
Yup, I added to my wishlist after seeing your quality memes on Imgur. Sounds like development has been a fun time, hope the experience continues being rewarding!
Thank you so much for the wishlist! YES, making this game is very fun, but after almost 2 years of work, am ready to be done, you know?
