I think this phrase is being used for longer than that movie exists, but maybe I just got it along the way
“This is the way”, is what members of a Mandalorian cult from Star Wars say to reaffirm their way of life. Star wars is owned by Disney.
The “this is the way” thing became popular as the cultists would generally say it after doing something cool.
