Thanks. That’s very informative. All stuff I’d never thought about.

Shouldn’t it be encrypted anytime it’s locked? Also, why the PIN and not my finger?
Bit less than a hundred. I have a Samsung S22+.
The most annoying part to me is that it doesn’t finish booting until I unlock it with my PIN. You restart it, leave it on a table, and several minutes later, you want to use it, but not only is your fingerprint rejected and you need to use your PIN, but once you do it there’s still a loading step. Extra insulting.
Ten seconds? Holy crap that’s fast. Mine takes minutes.

Not that I would ever want to be filmed while gaming. If I did, I’d at least try to make a few bucks by streaming.
I wonder if someone’s made a joke like this in a science paper before. Something to the effect of “we don’t understand what’s happening in our experiment as it seems to break the laws of physics. Perhaps the physics police just isn’t around to enforce them.”
Helps remembering pins
You’re out of luck if you need the letters though, because phones and PIN keypads don’t have the same letters on the same numbers.
You mean, beep when they’re finished?
Many microwaves have a semi-hidden feature to mute all sounds. Usually involves long-pressing one of the number buttons.
Could a similar meme be made between distributions?
Well i mean we’re talking houses here, not record-breaking high-rise buildings.
As for issues with structural wood… Tbh they’re pretty rare. Probably more common than, say, the steel in your walls rusting or something, but still, not to a worrisome degree.
The main one is insects. Water (leading to mould) is also a thing but water infiltrations are terrible news no matter the material so…
What makes wood unfit for structure? I don’t know much about buildings, but it looks pretty strong and flexible to me?
But like, what’s the structure of the house made out of? I can’t imagine the structural bits can be made out of bricks?
Wait where are you for wooden houses not to be a thing?
Eiri@lemmy.cato ADHD@lemmy.world•Have you found any non-prescription supplements that help your ADHD?English3·1 month agoI thought even nuts and carrots were too much carbs to maintain a ketogenic state, and even broccoli had to be consumed with moderation, or symptoms would resume.
But to be fair my knowledge is from my complete memories of, like, Doctor Mike videos.
Eiri@lemmy.cato ADHD@lemmy.world•Have you found any non-prescription supplements that help your ADHD?English15·1 month agoA keto diet is far from without consequences. It’s a very extreme change, that can only be done safely with a lot of care , as it implies cutting out most fruit and vegetables, for instance.
Afaik it’s not medically recommended for anything but a few very specific serious neurological disorders.
I wouldn’t go around recommending something like that.
If you want to enter a ketogenic state, intermittent fasting is a much less worrisome way to do it.
Looks like a pretty low tax rate to me.
Edit: welp, not that low. Mine looks lower. Weird; I’m in Quebec and I thought our tax rates were pretty high.
