Lately I’ve really been enjoying the bazaar. Not even sure how to describe that game. You choose one of 3 heroes and then spend your turns buying items for your board to defeat your opponents in autobattler style fights. The goal is to get to 10 Wins. It’s still in closed beta but the gameplay is in already pretty polished.
Apparently (one of?) the official Nvidia seller(s) in Europe gave put special links to selected people so they could order their cards ~1h before the official launch. Some scalpers got their hands on that link and simply bought all of them. Kinda insane to Honor those sales tbh if that story is true.
I have ally information from this yt short, didn’t verify because I don’t care enough about this situation: https://youtube.com/shorts/4HmKACYFdw8
Hate the game, not the player.
Why not both? Of course it’s the companies not giving a shit about who buys their stuff and those idiots who actually buy cards for 3x retail prices who enable this kind of behaviour. However, just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. I think it’s highly unethical to exploit regular people like this. Of course, if you buy the card you’re a moron and part of the problem but that doesn’t mean I don’t think scalpers are scum.
I think companies should do more to stop scalpers from buying too many high value items because…
Apple sells a piece of cloth for 29,99 and people wait in line.
…people are idiots and need to be protected from themselves.
Realistically though it’s not a problem that is going to go away anytime soon. Companies aren’t going to do shit because why would they and there’s always going to be sacks of human garbage who
Exploit the weaker
From what I’ve heard scalpers bought basically the entire European stock of 5090s because they got early access to the sale from nvidia. Fun times we live in.
Had to run the bazaar on wine. Apparently wine has a bug though where the game freezes when you tab out at any point. I have a windows VM now…
Reminds me of this video https://youtu.be/ITY-fJJnPNQ
The news article is posted here a bit late. Republic day was yesterday, holocaust remembrance day is today and at least for me the doodle is already gone.
Hm, Putting people that openly criticise the party on “a list”. Where have I heard this before?
Genuinely scary.
Yeah, that’s totally fair. Besides denuvo that was my other concern. I only buy like five games a year though and never at release so I thought I’d treat myself xD
I’d probably recommend to anyone who hasn’t sunk hundreds of hours into any of the other civ games to just buy 6/5 and play that until 7 is on sale with a dlc or two. Seeing as how notorious civ is for being worse than the predecessor without dlc.
After thinking about it for weeks I think I’ve finally settled on buying it, assuming day 1 performance is good. No preorders. I’m not installing that denuvo garbage on my pc though so at least civ 7 has finally made me switch to Linux last weekend.
Oh I had no idea they were an international master in chess. The more you know
We really need the mythbusters back :(
I was curious so I did a little bit of research(as in duckduckgo was useless so I asked chatgpt). While stomach acid loses its acidity fairly quickly after death how quickly it happens depends on various environmental factors. Regardless, popcorn kernels apparently pop between 175-200°C(400F). But bodies are cremated between 760-982°C(1400-1800F). So depending on how quickly those temperatures are reached it’s probably more likely that any remaining kernels would just burn.
There’s a chance though. We need some practical experiments.
