SapphironZA@sh.itjust.worksto Linux@lemmy.world•Fedora proposal to drop 32-bit support has been withdrawnEnglish69·8 days agoHow much 32bit only hardware is still out there in the wild and not still running on windows XP?
Sounds like a problem for a purpose built distro, not a mainline one.
EDIT: I stand corrected. I thought it was hardware 32bit support being discussed. It’s premature to discontinue 32-bit libraries.

Why would you need to expose SSH for everyday use? Or does Jellyfin require it to function?
Maybe leave that behind some VPN access.
SapphironZA@sh.itjust.workstoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•Does it count twice if I raise them both?53·12 days agoOn the matters most important, they are the same. Both are hell bent on the concentration of wealth and power with the elite.
Republicans just add the flavour of being overtly evil, where Democrats pretend they are good.
The political system is the problem, what we have today, is what it has been designed to do.
SapphironZA@sh.itjust.workstoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•Does it count twice if I raise them both?61·12 days agoI don’t disagree. Republicans are overtly evil.
But many people ignore that both have been facilitating the concentration of wealth and power that is at the core of all the systemic problems affecting almost everyone.
It started around the Reagan era and was reinforced by die bushes and Clinton.
Obama was the big “Change” candidate that was supposed to reverse the trend, but he betrayed people by entrenching it instead. They distracted people though the token measure of “wokeness” and obamacare, which did nothing to address the causes of those problems.
SapphironZA@sh.itjust.workstoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•Does it count twice if I raise them both?2214·13 days agoI would raise both hands, so we can include the Democrats as well.
Both are part of the problem. Along with their owners.

The world will be a lot better without both those authoritarian regimes.

Even the Soviet missiles designed to take out supercarriers only had the most basic terminal maneuverability. And those were done by fins. Even the US has only recently caught up with that level of ballistic missile tech by the mid 2000s
SapphironZA@sh.itjust.worksto World News@lemmy.ml•[Video] Iranian missile strikes Haifa21·19 days agoI thought so too, but I think the acceleration is an optical illusion due to the warhead coming in slightly towards the camera. I also don’t recall any ballistic missiles carrying a terminal motor that kicks in that late.
That’s usually only for cruise missiles. Gravity does a good enough job of giving the warhead speed.
SapphironZA@sh.itjust.worksto World News@lemmy.ml•[Video] Iranian missile strikes Haifa33·19 days agoI believe he is correct. You see one puff of an interceptor missing to the right, but look back up the trail of the one that hit, there is another puff on it sooner.
It also does not look like a detonation to me. More like what happens when a 500kg chunk hits the ground at Mach 2ish.

Money can always be made worthless, so the key to post depression bubble economics will be commodities and the ability to earn an income.

It does not matter enough. Too many bigots in the conservative dem voter base.
They will vote black, Muslim, Asian, so long as it’s not a woman.
Sad state of the American psyche.
