Only way he really went out of his way is if he road the Metra commuter train from Antioch to Kenosha since each are the terminus of different Metra routes, and this was probably outside of normal Metra operating hours. Plus he doesn’t strike me as someone who would take a 5 hour train ride to travel 20 miles

Looks like she was not allowed to refuse to grant licenses, served jail time for the stunt and since then has received eye-watering legal bills and damages for her antics. I imagine as a county employee she wasn’t wealthy enough to pay 300k+ in damages and fees very easily, although maybe she was clever enough to be able to spin a lucrative book or speaking deal from the situation

It sounds like in the above case the codes were real 2fa codes from his bank as the scammers were resetting their login credentials then adding an external account to initiate a transfer. Presumably they were simply reusing info from a breach to make the scam smoother
