Finely diced celery, carrots and onion is the foundation of basically all great stews and ragouts (including ragu alla bolognese).

One should have thought that that would be something a true communist could agree with.
Also he did manage to dismantle federal government, so no more oversight and regulations for corporations. That is a pretty huge win for oligarchs and a catastrophy for basically everybody else, which everybody seems to have forgotten about in the general avalanche of shitshows which has been occurring.

Elon Musk is just a moron. He was the richest man on the planet, he could have all the power he wanted, just like all the clever billionaire oligarchs, but his pathological narcissism required an audience, so instead of manipulating things behind the scenes as they do, he stepped onto it and showed the world what a moronic asshole he is.

breecher@sh.itjust.workstoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•Mommy and daddy are getting divorced rule6·3 days agoYou got your history a little bit off. The leaders of the brownshirts were assassinated by the blackshirts (the SS). The brownshirts were the victims of the Night of the Long Knives, and they never achieved the level of importance in Hitlers hierarchy as they had held earlier.
I don’t also really see the similarity with what is going on right now. Ernst Röhm was only powerful because of his position within Hitlers ranks, and he was taken out immediately and secretly with no open feud going on between them. It was Hitler removing old baggage within his own ranks, as he had outgrown them.
Röhm was never a powerful figure on his own. But both Trump and Musk are powerful in American society independent of each other, and, assuming this feud is real, it makes it much more interesting than The Night of Long Knives, because they both have the capability of dealing a lot of damage to each other.

Yeah, the vision during the procedure was not an issue at all. The smell of burnt eye as the laser works away was a bit off putting though. I can attest that burnt eye smells a lot similar to burnt hair.
I had my done over 20 years ago, and only needed glasses again this year (and that is only for a very slight correction, I can see fine without them, while 20 years ago I was basically blind without my glasses). I can’t recommend lasik enough, especially for people with very bad eyesight.
Now when a Putin simp is leading the country?
