    Why?

    I know the knee jerk reasons of course.

    However, GitHub is a fantastic ecosystem for an application to thrive. Contributions on other platforms are greatly reduced.

    Then again, the actual Lemmy development is a bit of a mess.

    Once it gains critical mass of engaged developers, that’s a good time to migrate off GitHub. Doing it earlier just slows the project down.



  • Yeah, life be that way sometimes.

    But at the same time receiving just plain "Hello"s on the regular gets… Difficult.

    Tell me a bit about yourself who are you? I’ve gotten burnt out by investing into playing hellos and then them ghosting so I have a difficult time responding to them now. I definitely put a lot more effort into someone that reaches out with something to kick a conversation off with.

    Kind of sucks if you, the person receiving the hello, are expected to bring the conversation.
