I tried this after seeing Action Retro use it a few times to see if he could make it work on older machines he was tinkering with. Love the old school/simpler FPS feel of it, and the lack of nonsense. Boot it up, play
I’ve been playing a single ship only save this time around and it’s been a ton of fun. I allow myself to use fighters if a ship has a fighter bay, but no escorts (except mission NPCs of course).
I don’t know why but I absolutely love asteroid mining. It’s not like it’s deep or complex, but it just feels so satisfying somehow.
Fight it out!
Man Uniracers is so good, my friends and I would have huge tournaments. Too bad Pixar got all uppity and claimed they had a trademark on unicycles. Good grief
Get em, kids!
I have a lot of cherished memories of playing video games with my kids. We’ve bonded over shared moments as well as over mutual favorites and their characters and storylines and worlds and art styles. I’ve shared my love of programming with my kids initially by helping them make their own little video games, and they now have the basics of a very useful skill.
I’d say like just about anything, video games can be good or bad depending on how they’re used and engaged with.
This is one of my favorite parts of sitting out playing music by my “resist fascism” sign.
Do it! Even if it’s just a reason to learn more programming. Those are always fun projects
