They are reactionaries, same as conservatives. They both want to return to some previous status quo they enjoyed. They just disagree about which status quo, and which people’s are ok to exploit.

This is why leftists don’t work with liberals. They want to move backwards, while leftists want to move forwards. They want opposite things.
