    There’s a catholic shrine near Hamilton Ontario that my elders used to like to visit. I forget the details because I always thought it was weird even when I was a kid. The shrine and church are centered on the remains of a missionary priest that was caught, tortured, cut up and burned by native people. The only thing left of him was a severed finger which is now housed there. For some reason, the older generation here in northern Ontario wanted to go see this shrine every year.

    Our indigenous ancestors killed him … and now indigenous people want to honor him.

    Indigenous people can be just as weird as anyone else.

      Maybe they’re honouring the people that killed him?

      Imagine if there was a shrine bathroom for Hitler, where the pipes took the excrement and deposited it directly onto his bones? I would use that shrine bathroom regularly.
