As I understand it’s not a “Communist Led” state per se, but that the communist party takes part in the elections and wins about 50% of the time by getting the most seats in the Kerala state assembly. India being fascist has little to do with the state governments, many of them are varying degrees of liberal, conservative etc. since India operates on a federal system that gives quite a bit of autonomy to each state. And even though the locally elected Socialist party in any given state can in fact win and govern for a term, there is also always a federally appointed governor that can and will thwart and cause problems if needed to, as was done recently in a different Indian state. Any Indian comrades feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong. Also the caste system is a mainly social issue, I don’t think any government officially “upholds” it in India outside of affirmative action.
