I inherited an electric one from my FIL. This is very satisfying.
I’m in love with my new power washer. It’s transforming our house.
Imagine explaining how you washed that to the people who built it.
Dope house
I treated my exterior walls last spring with a product that kills organic growth and doesn’t even need to be rinsed off. Just spray it on and leave it do it’s thing. This is the same wall a year later. I had pressure washed it all a couple years back but it all grew back in a few years.
Protip: Spray with something to kill the mildew and let it rest a bit before washing off.

Thanks for the tip. Yep I’ll probably get something this weekend. I was just seeing if the inherited pressure washer was gonna work.
We actually paid someone to come do this for our house, because I don’t have the ability to get way up high on the second floor, for any of the spraying steps. I wanna say it was $350. We have a white house, with bushes in the front, so the filth really gathers quickly and shows up well (as you are aware).
If I didn’t have to buy a new riding lawn mower I’d probably pay to have this done. I’m not great with heights.
The walls not ever really in the sun (like this one) were the worst.
You should plant a tree in that yard
We plan on planting several. There are none currently.
Best time to plant a tree was 30 years ago and second best time is right now.
Fine start to the project
Why thank you. Only about 3000 more sq ft to go…. 🥵
I do miss the powerwashing porn subreddit. There is something ASMR about it.
I’ve never done siding like this before. It was very satisfying. And I felt like a kid playing in a sprinkler.
Start at the top. Otherwise it will run down onto the bit you have just done.
Everything I’ve seen has recommended working bottom to top. “Working your way up is recommended because suds will run down the wall if you start at the top, and it’ll be harder to see dirt and debris that needs to be scrubbed off.”
Get an extension if one is available, much better than blasting between the cladding from a low angle when reaching for the upper rows.
this reminds me i need to check over my powerwasher to see how it did over the winter
