A Colorado funeral homeowner who pleaded guilty to leaving a woman’s corpse in the back of a hearse for over a year and improperly stashing the cremated remains of at least 30 people has been sentenced to 18 months in prison, the Denver District Attorney’s Office announced.

Miles Harford, 34, pleaded guilty in April to one felony count of abuse of a corpse and one misdemeanor count of theft. He faced other counts, including forgery and theft, that were dismissed as part of his plea agreement.

His 18-month sentence is the maximum sentence under Colorado law for the charges.

Sounds like me at my job, only mine doesn’t involve decomposing bodies… But I imagine once he hit like a week or so without taking it out, it just got harder and harder every day until it was just easier to ditch the hearse and start over lol.

Dunno if this is what actually happened, but it’s now my head canon

      Me at work

Email comes in. Looks actionable. Is that on me? Mark as Todo.

End of day: oh yeah, I’ll check tomorrow.

      (Three weeks later)

I can probably archive this, no one’s mentioned it…
