Fucking unreal that we considered them that at all. I can’t recall a single thing that Cuba (or a Cuban national) has done that could be considered terrorism since the Cuban Missile Crisis 80+ fucking years ago.

Though it’s the US, so we probably consider having world-class health care providers to be “terrorism.”

I think it’s a security thing. Add in the whole “all cash business” thing, and it’s no surprise that I see armed security inside sometimes.

Billionaires or not, they don’t have control of state militaries (yet at least). In fascism, the state is at the top, and corporations bend the knee and become an extension of the government to be used at the whims of its authoritarian leader.

What it ultimately comes down to is power and the capacity for violence. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, if a government can just drone strike your entire family, does it?
