Prisons are necessary because some people are just violent abusers. That doesn’t mean our horrible, corrupt prison system is necessary. We could treat prisoners well and actually try to rehabilitate them.
Prison is not the only way to solve violent abuse.
More violent abuse?
I would need a more creative, or well-researched person to solve this problem.
Well, reformed prisons who actually rehabilitate prisoners seems to be the best answer. I was asking if you were implying we should just kill them. I don’t think there is a different answer, for the question about what to do with violent abusers, other than removing said abusers from society, either permanently or until they’re no longer violent. How we remove them and how we turn them peaceful is the issue, not the fact that they’re being removed.
