I always get stuck in a captcha loop with them, but I have an Apple News subscription so I can just open in News most the time.

I think context matters too. When I lived in the Midwest I could go on a long drive in the country and it would help me relax and cool down.
Having lived in LA for 10+ years now though, driving while angry leads to very bad road rage (at least for me).
I’m not too concerned about the healthiness of them and always find this to be a distraction—people don’t eat hamburgers to be healthy.
But yeah, it’s upsetting. Especially restaurants that upcharge vegan products without expensive meat.
Do you have a source? I can add it to my cancellation request. Proton has been driving me crazy.
I’d gamble I’ve met a lot more annoying people in person, and I don’t get out much.
I worked in the shipping industry for several years. Carriers will always say something is “out for delivery” even when they know it isn’t or it is and the driver won’t make it.
If you try reaching them they generally give out a half-assed excuse.
I worked for a broker so my job was to get the real status of shipments, so most of my job was yelling/screaming, throwing tantrums and the like just to get a lazy asshole on the other end of the line to check for real.
90% of the time it’s not a problem and people just want to know where it is (and with larger packages need to schedule themselves to be onsite at the time of delivery).
Curse that industry, the drivers might be working hard but all the layers of middlemen and greedy fucks surrounding them make it unbearable. I’ve never had to deal with worse people.
I recently commented somewhere that the more Elon Musk leans into MAGA the more he looks like a Sith lord and the affliction appears to be hitting Mark Zuckerberg too lately.
Here’s a thought: if you’re being canceled, there’s likely a reason for it. Perhaps consider what circumstances brought you there.
Change your password on the affected websites at the very least.
If you recycle the same email/password combination (which I most definitely hope you are not), time to change all those passwords (to unique passwords) as well.
Good point. I do that to an extent for the reasons you’ve listed. I thought of produce because lately I’ve been into salads and wraps.
I have no clue why others are downvoting you for this.
I’m based in the US but VPN into Switzerland for better online privacy (as well as a mix of other techniques).
The host of my instance was gracious enough to allow me to use it. I’m not physically in the EU, but that doesn’t mean I need to go around with a US-centric view on everything. Maybe realize there are other countries in the world, and that ours (the US) is by no means “tHe bEST.”
Maybe not a direct answer to your question but I’d try to keep it the lowest number of subjects at any given time with deeper learning in them.
In school I was genuinely interested in learning, but every instructor seemed to hand you a mountain of homework each day and acted like their subject was the most important. I spent most my time scrambling to get it all done and in the end only learned what little I could to simply pass.
I remember this especially with math, I loved math but if I took the time to study better and actually learn the concepts, I wouldn’t have had the time to finish my other homework.
I did see somewhere else that authorities asked citizens in this situation to report it, but I don’t remember where and doubt that it would be easy to do so (and/or prove).
In Los Angeles I’m paying like $50 for a barebones, mostly produce and raw ingredients shopping trip 1-2 times per week. I’m vegan so I’m not buying milk, eggs, meat, etc. but sometimes I’ll buy processed fake meat (but those prices are insane right now too).
Oops, I saw the image incorrectly and assumed it was a different type (if that makes sense).
Unfortunately I’ve also tried a product similar to this but it was annoying because I always had to put something heavy on top to have the inner cup push down enough to make actual cubes. Maybe this one is better than the silicone trays I use now, maybe not.
My original comment was more poking fun at the fact I’m doing this since I moved to Los Angeles (an area of the country known for its technology) as an adult. I grew up with things like dishwashers, ice makers, central heating and cooling, and traffic lights that can be changed by emergency vehicles in my typical crappy state. It irks me that I have to manually restock the ice bin each day.
I suppose had this instance (hosted at lemmy.world) didn’t want worldwide posts, they would’ve considered a different TLD.
If you’re running an instance why not just cut the shit and block Meta?
I was going to say something to that effect. It feels like people are more into the experience of shopping rather than the actual product.
I’m starting to feel old-school in that I’m happy to pay more (sometimes much more) for a quality product that will last.
It frustrates me that it’s hard to find answers to questions about products before you buy them and that most information seems to be scammy affiliate links blogs.
