      I never understood the attraction. “oh my god she’s so different!”

      If she never painted her hair, her coy personality would be an actual red flag. But nope, coloured hair = quirky, so gotta put up with that whole mess.

        And while we’re on the subject of Ramonas, Ramona Quimby was a little shit with two loving parents who put up with way too much of her antics. If anyone should have been in therapy, it was Ramona. Think of the horrible, vain, manipulative adult she must have turned out to be.

        On one hand that was part of the point of her character, that people were far more attracted to the idea of her than the reality. On the other hand, a beautiful actress portraying a very “cool millennial” aesthetic got to me too. She was the archetypal manic pixie dream girl in a story about how she won’t save you and you won’t save her, you both have to learn to save yourself.
