My wife’s hyundai has two and each has an arrow going a different direction. Gets me every time because my car has the fill hole on the passenger side and hers is on driver side so I always look down at the arrow.

One I guess has the arrow to the right to signify how much gas is left and the other has an arrow to the left to say what side the pump is on but they are both the same icon

Sorry I also don’t want to interact with this person on foot, or in a store, or be behind her at self checkout, or watch her use a tablet to order food. I would prefer to never have to think about someone with this level of brain activity.

I will have open solidarity with that person, thank you very much. Society should accommodate everyone. If it can’t, it’s a bad society.

And if you can’t tolerate people like this existing, you’re a bad person, and I don’t want anything to do with you.

Welcome to life, where occasionally you deal with things you don’t want to. I do hope you never experience a similar situation, but if you do, I hope it is handled with compassion.

Oh hey a response. I don’t really get what your response has to do with anything, but you used words so good for you!

Your entire point, in the context of my message, is “sometimes life isn’t perfect”?

For my part, I sincerely hope you never reach the mental state where you think you can drive a car but in fact can’t align two objects within 8 feet of each other. Because that’s sad, and deserving of compassion from people who care about you.

Doesn’t understand rotation of an object. Drives a cubic ton of metal on wheels in the streets.

My only thought as to why this could occur is that either the person is intoxicated or has some sort of cognitive issue like dementia OR that it was deliberately done as a sketch to make a viral video. The former are scary to think about. I can understand a “normal” person making this mistake once or twice, but the fact that it’s continuous and repeated would lead toward impairment.

It’s a poor translation on my part.

Cubic tonne of metal would probably make more sense. But there is nothing cubic really in a car so I don’t know why I choose this wording.

As far as I know an heavy car is close to 1000Kg which is a Tonne in the metric system.

I’m just noticing that metre is the correct spelling in English.

Isn’t “meter” the commonly used translation?

I realize it must not be commonly used anyway with the imperial system being used in the US.

“Meter" and “metre” are both correct spellings of the word that refers to a unit of measurement in the metric system:

“Meter” is the preferred spelling in American English, while “metre” is preferred in British English and other forms of English outside the United States.

In India, there is a preference for “meter” over “metre” (75 to 25). In the Philippines, there is a preference for “meter” over “metre” (100 to 0). In Canada, there is a preference for “meter” over “metre” (68 to 32). In Australia, there is a preference for “meter” over “metre” (68 to 32).

            I don’t think I said it was a mass.

I meant cubic as in cube shaped?

            Super pedantic edit:

Now that I think about it cubic isn’t really a measure of volume :

“cubic” on its own is not a measure of volume. It is an adjective that describes something related to a cube or three-dimensional space, but it requires a unit of length to provide a meaningful measure of volume.

I don’t know about where you live, but very few stations where I am have hoses long enough to do this. I think costco pumps are the only ones I’ve seen that are long enough.

No she isn’t. She uses right door all the time and you can even see a steering wheel on the right hand side.

Are you blind or you don’t understand sides? At the beginning her right door are actually on our left side as she is facing us.
